Application 1752749

The Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB/Board) has received Application No. 1752749 (Application).

Description of the Application
Sunridge Energy Corp. (Sunridge) has applied, pursuant to Section 80 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act, for an order prescribing that all tracts within the drilling spacing unit comprising the South East quarter of Section 27, Township 048, Range 25, West of the 4th Meridian, be operated as a unit for the production of oil from the Mannville Group, from either an existing well with the unique identifier of 02/02-27-048-25W4 or from a new well to be drilled in Legal Subdivision 2 of the section. The applicant also requested that the order provide for the drilling of an additional well to allow for the production of two wells per pool per quarter section, as permitted by existing well spacing requirements.

The applicant requested, among other things, that costs and revenues under the pooling order be allocated on a tract-area basis and that it be named the operator of the well(s) to be produced. The applicant also proposed that if the existing well is re-entered, operating costs and the costs associated with re-entering and recompleting the well, be shared.

For any new well drilled in the quarter section, the applicant is proposing that drilling and completion costs be shared in addition to operating costs. The applicant has not requested any penalty provision regarding re-entry or recompletion costs for the existing well, or drilling and completing costs for a new well.
