Notice of Hearing
Proceeding into Odours and Emissions from Heavy Oil Operations in the Peace River Area
On September 18, 2013, the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) initiated Proceeding No. 1769924, pursuant to the Responsible Energy Development Act, to investigate and make recommendations about odours and emissions associated with heavy oil operations in the Peace River area.
The AER will hold a public hearing on Proceeding No. 1769924 at the Belle Petroleum Conference & Business Center, 9403 – 94 Street, Peace River, Alberta, starting on January 21, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the hearing is to provide interested parties registered under the proceeding with an opportunity to present in-scope information from their written submissions and to ask questions of other parties presenting information at the hearing. Only those parties that filed a written submission in phase 2 or 3 of the proceeding can participate in the hearing. Refer to Decision 2013 ABAER 018: Proceeding into Odours and Emissions in the Peace River Area; Organizational Meeting Report, available on the AER website (www.aer.ca), for details regarding the scope, process, and scheduling of this proceeding.
