Updated monthly, this statistical report provides historical gas production data and shows gas production trends in Alberta. The report presents the number and age of producing gas wells and the wells’ cumulative monthly production volumes grouped by year.
The report also provides an annual summary of gas production from 1962 to the present.
Users can search the report by
- fluid type (gas, oil, coalbed methane, shale, and non-hydrocarbon)
- Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC) geographical area
- drilling type (horizontal or vertical/deviated)
Companies are required to submit production data to us under Directive 007: Volumetric and Infrastructure Requirements. To learn how volumetric data is submitted, read Manual 011: How to Submit Volumetric Data to the AER.
