The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is changing the hydraulic fracturing notification submission procedure to help it to more efficiently and effectively monitor hydraulic fracturing activity. Under Directive 083: Hydraulic Fracturing – Subsurface Integrity, industry is required to submit the hydraulic fracturing notification submission form (the form) at least five days before the pressure test of surface equipment for hydraulic fracturing operations.
Effective December 3, 2014, industry licensees are expected to do the following:
The modified procedure, field centre e-mail addresses, and modified form will be posted to the Directive 083 page on the AER website, www.aer.ca, before the effective date above.
