The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) will hold a prehearing meeting on application 1820596 at Govier Hall, 250 – 5 Street SW, Calgary, Alberta, on January 12, 2016, starting at 9:00 a.m.
The AER issued a notice of hearing on application 1820596 on November 5, 2015, announcing a public hearing. The hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
What is the purpose of the meeting?
It is to obtain the parties’ views on matters that may help make the hearing run as smoothly as possible. The meeting will not discuss evidence or argument on the merits of the application or statements of concern.
Description of the Application
Bearspaw Petroleum Ltd. (Bearspaw) applied under section 33 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act to include well 102/11-24-24-28W4/0 in the Crossfield Basal Quartz C Pool designation. The well is currently included in the Crossfield Basal Quartz V Pool.

How can I take part in the meeting?
The meeting is open to the public to observe. The meeting will also be webcast at www.meetview.com/aer. This webcast will only be available when the meeting is in progress and is not an official record of the proceeding.
Parties to the hearing can make an oral presentation at the prehearing meeting. A written submission is not required. However, if parties wish to file a written submission for the prehearing meeting, send one copy to the hearing coordinator, Greg McLean, and one copy to Bearspaw by January 5, 2016.
Is this a public process?
Yes. Section 49 of the Alberta Energy Regulator Rules of Practice (Rules of Practice) requires that all documents and information filed in a proceeding be placed on the public record. If you file a submission, you must not include any personal information that you do not want on or are not authorized to put on the public record. Section 49(2) of the Rules of Practice states how to apply to the AER for an order to keep information confidential.
