Energy companies must conduct oil pressure testing under Directive 40: Pressure and Deliverability Testing Oil and Gas Wells and submit their results to us. Oil pressure testing is part of well testing.
We gather each company’s oil pressure test data and include it in our Oil Pressure Test File, which is updated monthly. It provides a summary of oil pressure data in Alberta from 1999 to the present.
The file includes
• basic well information,
• test data,
• test type and method of survey,
• gradients,
• pressures,
• shut-in length, and
• acoustic details.
