In our ongoing effort to eliminate duplicative or obsolete requirements, we have rescinded Directive 046: Production Audit Handbook, effective immediately. We have created Manual 029: Production Measurement and Reporting Audit (Manual 029) to help industry comply with requirements that would be the subject of an AER audit.
The rescission of Directive 046 does not affect existing requirements that ensure public safety, environmental protection, or resource conservation, as it was only a guidance document.
Manual 029 is a resource document and tool for our compliance staff and industry. Its purpose is to identify noncompliance events that could be detected during a measurement and reporting audit of our regulated facilities. Manual 029 is available on the Manuals landing page.
