Purpose of this Directive
This directive sets out the minimum requirements for casing design, developed with input from a technical subcommittee of the Drilling and Completions Committee and the AER’s predecessor (the Energy Resources Conservation Board), which reviewed various technical documents containing information on casing design for sweet, sour, and critical sour wells in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
